I have an iBook G4 w/ an ATA connection bus Toshiba MK4025GAS that is not recognized as being mounted (although the disk utility sees it but cannot repair) and makes no noise (spinning, clicking, etc)

VIRUS ON HARD DRIVE. LOST NETWORK CONNECTION, PROGRAMS STOPPED WORKING. TRIED TO RE-START COMPUTER AND WOULD COME TO A BLACK SCREEN WITH CURSOR ON TOP LEFT. ONCE THE SCREEN WAS FILLED WITH HAPPY FACES ALL IN DIFFERENT COLORS, BLINKING ON THE SCREEN. INSTALLED AS A SLAVE ON ANOTHER PC AND TRIED TO VIRUS SCAN IT AND IT ONLY RECOGIIZED THE DRIVE AS CORRUPT. COULD ENTER AND WORK IN BIOS. PLEASE RECOVER DATA AND CLEAN OUT VIRUS!!!

I think this drive was shorted out when I was trying to attach as second drive after new Windows XP on Drive C. I believe all the data will be intact once the drive can be started and accessed and that it would be easier to just image the drive over to a different drive.
